Have you heard of kintsugi? It’s the art of repairing broken pottery with gold. This process beautifies the breakage and treats it as an important part of the object’s history, therefore valuing fractures instead of disguising them or glossing over them. The process typically results in something far more beautiful and stronger than the original.
We don’t need to cover up or gloss over our pain, our brokenness, our messes.
Instead, we can see them as part of shaping who we are, as lessons, as launch pads, as growth starters, as golden threads weaving us together.
Our pain can be the launchpad to our purpose.
Our messes and mistakes can reveal what really matters, can unveil meaning and forge a message to share.
Walking through our brokenness can be what helps others walk into their wholeness.
So, let’s honour the broken parts of us, let’s take a moment to look back and see how brokenness has got us here today, how pain has pushed us forward.
These are the things that makes us stronger not weaker, and unveil our beauty to continue.
You are golden!
