Collect Moments

I am always so amazed by the contagious joy and vibrancy of those our culture says has nothing. And in one way, it's true. But in another, they have so much more than us.

Seeing the dirt covered smiles of Cambodian kids, as they kick around an old can. Or making a fairy castle out of sticks. Or mud pies from the dirt. No technology, no gadgets, no "entertainment" or a mound of "things". But full of joy, laughter, friendship, moments to treasure.

Whenever I see these amazing scenes, I am reminded of what these beautiful people can teach us.
x- We can make a lot with a little.
x- We can find joy in the hardest of circumstances.
x- We can create something out of nothing.
x- We get to choose our attitude, no matter what's going on around us.
x- We can focus on what we have instead of what we don't.
x- The less we have the more we give away - being generous with our lives.
x- To treasure moments with people over striving for things. Small moments of connection. Getting excited about the little things.

I know I can get trapped in the strive after things, status, pleasing people, empty goals, more more more. But love a good perspective slap to refocus on what's really important... Moments with people. People you love and strangers you meet along the way.

So how can you slow down today, breathe out, let go of some of the stresses, the endless to dos, and take some time to collect moments - they don't need to be extravagant, just simple, be present, take in the beauty of what's around you, be with the people in front of you. Collect moments, not things.

We'd love to hear the moments you're collecting, share and inspire others x
