Truth bomb: We can’t control everything!
I know, shocking, but even though we know this fact, so often we stress ourselves out by trying to control things totally out of our control.
Like other’s people reactions, what others think about us, how others treat us, what others do, and nearly everything external to ourselves, like the weather, what happens around us etc etc.
Sometimes it hard to come to grips with the fact that we can’t control everything, but WHEN WE FULLY EMBRACE THAT WE CAN’T CONTROL EXTERNAL THINGS, IT FREE US.
It frees us from trying again and again and still failing to control everything.
BUT there are many things we CAN control - like our attitude, actions, reactions, perspective, words, what we continually dwell on, what we focus on, how we treat people, how we treat ourselves etc.
