Being Our Own Cheerleader

I know I have! Constantly criticizing, judging harshly, punishing, tearing down. How could we feel confident, when we keep beating ourselves up for being human.

What if we were our greatest cheerleader - how different would we feel about ourselves??

What if, when we looked in the mirror and felt disappointed, instead of picking out all the things we wish would change, we’d speak to ourselves like a kind friend - pointing out all the amazing things, reminding ourselves that our looks don’t matter that much, encouraging our worth...

What if, when we made a mistake, instead of labelling ourselves a failure straight away and being so mean to ourselves, we’d speak to ourselves like a cheering coach and find the lesson, encourage the growth, celebrate the fact that we tried, were courageous to give it a go, can try again...

What if... what if we weren’t at war with ourselves, but we were the peace-maker, the cheerleader, the kind friend, whoever we’ve needed for soo long.

👉🏻 How can you be kinder to yourself today? How can you show yourself grace?
👉🏻 What would you say/do if you saw if you were trying to really help a friend in your situation? Say/do it for yourself.

The more at war we are with ourselves, the more at war we find ourselves with others (comparison, competition etc).

Let’s end the war with love.
